Gareth Eglinton-Pacitti
BACP Accredited Therapist | Clinical Supervisor
Hello, I’m Gareth, a BACP-accredited integrative therapist and clinical supervisor. I am queer, neurodivergent and bring over a decade of clinical experience to my practice. I provide a compassionate, collaborative space designed to help you deconstruct your client work, sharpen your clinical intuition and sustain your professional wellbeing.
Supervision works best when it is a formal yet highly collaborative process. I aim to offer a supportive, egalitarian relationship characterised by the mutual sharing of ideas. We will build a high-trust, “adult-to-adult” environment where you can bring your clinical successes alongside your stuck moments and anxieties. Together, we will navigate the normative, formative and restorative tasks of supervision to foster deep reflection and genuine professional evolution.
How I Can Support Your Practice
Ethical Dilemmas & Blind Spots: Supervision is a vital safety net. I can help you navigate complex ethical questions, safely manage risk and ground your practice in the BACP Ethical Framework.
Neurodivergent-Affirming Lens: If you are supporting ADHD or Autistic clients, I can help you move beyond standard medical models. With lived experience of AuDHD, I understand the sensory, executive and systemic challenges faced by clients, helping ensure your interventions are truly affirming.
LGBTQ+, Poly & GSRD Practice: I provide specialised support for working within Gender, Sex, and Relationship Diversity. Whether your clients are navigating transition, polyamory or ethical non-monogamy, we can ensure your practice remains intersectional and culturally competent.
Shame and the ‘Second Arrow’: Clinical work often triggers our own imposter syndrome and self-criticism. I use a compassion-based approach to help you identify when you are beating yourself up, mitigating shame and keeping you grounded.
Sustaining Your Wellbeing: This work is emotionally demanding and carries the risk of burnout or vicarious trauma. We will focus on your nervous system regulation and self-care strategies, ensuring you have the resilience to remain present for your clients long-term.
Trainee Support: If you are a student, I am experienced in supporting trainee development, completing necessary assessment reports and collaborating with your training provider to ensure your practice meets professional standards.
My Approach to Supervision
My approach is integrative and psychologically curious. I don’t just look at what happened in the room – I look at the wider systems at play, including societal, familial and physiological contexts. I draw on various frameworks to help you understand the relational dynamics, ego states and unconscious processes happening between you and your clients. Supervision should be more than a checkbox, it’s a space to ensure you feel supported, challenged and inspired.
